is developing multimedia installations for a lot of years. The new concept is the “FlightCenter”. It offers a virtual flight through the city of Vienna. The users can experience the city from the perspective of a falcon. The dome-shaped building of the Flight-Center includes a restaurant and 50 flight boxes. In these, the visitor experiences a multimedia and multisensory, interactive computer installation.
For the flight they strap on purpose-built foam plastic wings, with which they fly through the photorealistic reconstruction of the city. During the flight, they do not only experience the city visually, but also acoustically. In addition, the air stream in the in the flight-simulation box is adapted to the flight movements seen on the screen. During a nosedive for example, the wind speed rises dramatically.
